Acupanel® Hydro Waterproof Wall Panels

The warmth of wood panelling, in the rooms where traditional wood panels can't go. Acupanel® Hydro is our waterproof slat panel for bathrooms, wet rooms, and kitchen splashbacks.

Polystyrene core. PVC surface. Wipe clean, no swelling, no warping. Four wood-effect finishes and a tongue-and-groove edge for a seamless wall.

Common questions

Yes. Hydro is built for wet rooms: a waterproof construction with a wood-effect finish that shrugs off steam and splashes. It is the range we point to whenever water is part of the room's life.

Bathrooms, kitchens, utility rooms and cloakrooms. Anywhere steam and splashes would trouble real wood veneer, Hydro takes over. For dry rooms, the real wood ranges carry the warmth.

No, and we say so plainly: Hydro is wood-effect, chosen so the finish survives water that real veneer would not. Every other Acupanel® slat range carries real wood veneer; Hydro is the exception with a job to do.

The construction. The wood ranges pair real veneer slats with a recycled felt core and belong in dry rooms. Hydro swaps both for a waterproof build with a wood-effect face, made to live where water lives.

Hydro is built for water, not measured for sound: it carries no published acoustic rating. Where sound matters, choose the acoustic slat ranges, measured at NRC 0.75 to EN ISO 354 on 45mm battens.

No. Fire certification belongs to the Acupanel® Fire-Rated range alone, certified B-s1, d0 to EN 13501-1:2018 by a notified body. If your project needs a fire classification, specify Fire-Rated from the start.

Yes. Samples are available across most product ranges so you can see and feel the real material before committing. Acoustic panel, wood veneer, and cork tile samples can all be ordered. Order as many as you need, and when you place your panel order we refund the cost of your samples. Check individual product pages for availability.

Our warehouse and display area in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire is open for visits by appointment. Contact us to arrange a time so we can have the right products and samples ready for you to see in person.

We photograph every product as accurately as possible. Because we use real wood and natural materials, subtle variations in grain pattern and tone occur between production batches. This is a characteristic of genuine wood, not a defect. We always recommend ordering a sample to confirm the colour and texture in your own lighting.

You can return unused products within 30 days of delivery. Items must be in their original, undamaged packaging. Refunds are processed once we receive and inspect the return. For full terms including sample returns, visit our returns page or contact our customer service team.

We offer free delivery to mainland UK on most orders. Delivery is typically 2 to 3 days from dispatch, and each product page shows its own dispatch time above the add to cart button. Delivery to Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, and offshore islands incurs a surcharge calculated at checkout. You are also welcome to collect from our warehouse in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.
